Innovations that Help Protect Children
At ForeverLawn, we take safety very seriously. That is why when we developed the first safety system under our grass back in 2004, it achieved a 12-foot fall safe rating even though 90% of playgrounds only required fall safe ratings up to 8 feet. That same affordable, tried and true system is used today, because most people share our philosophy to go above and beyond the requirements when it comes to the safety of the children.
ForeverLawn has continued to bring new innovations to the market. In 2007, we introduced grass products that contain antimicrobial technology within the blade structure. Alphasan antimicrobial technology, which is used on items such as shopping carts and canteens, was added for the express purpose of going above and beyond standard requirements to enhance safety for children. Everything from the grass fibers to how the turf is installed has been specifically designed for the high traffic areas of a playground. Our network of dealers complete an IPEMA-certified training program to ensure that the installations are completed in the proper way. Our fall height protection certifications have all been verified through IPEMA certified testing facilitates such as the Detroit Testing Lab, and meet the ASTM 1292 fall specifications as well as the ASTM 1951 ADA accessibility specifications. We also monitor and meet all the CPSC (consumer product safety commission) standards and recommendations for playground surfaces. Our Playground Grass products meet or exceed established testing standards with regard to heavy metals in turf, according to CPSC, ASTM and the State of California standards.
